Heat
Stress Prevention

Heat is an occupational hazard that builds quietly, and by the time someone notices, it is often already serious. Run across data centre sites in Singapore and Taiwan over four days, this campaign took participants from the physiology of heat illness through to the instruments used to measure it, closing with the first aid steps that matter in the first few minutes. The Taiwan site added a fifth booth on cold stress, since its GenSet teams work at both ends of the range.

WBGT & Humidity Wisdom Zone: hands-on practice with a Wet Bulb Globe Temperature meter, why it is the measure that counts for workplace heat injury, and practical ways to bring indoor humidity down

It’s Getting Hot in Here!, recognising the early indicators of heat-related illness and intervening before they escalate, plus first aid for both early and advanced signs

Highlight 01

Working through the risk factors for heat harm at the Taiwan site, alongside the hot work and chemical safety stations already standing on the floor.

Highlight 02

The sorting activity in play: symptoms dealt onto the table, and participants deciding which belong to heat stress and which to cold.

"The campaign provided additional insights regarding heat stress which I was not aware of. Very detailed information about the prevention methods, and very good and interesting, we should hold more of these events."
